Come have a BLAST with us as we practice using language together.
Join us for our weekly group sessions designed for people with aphasia who are looking for opportunities to practice using language in a fun and positive environment.
Who is the BLaST group for?
This is a great opportunity for those with chronic aphasia or for people with aphasia who want to supplement their current speech therapy treatment with more language practice.
Where does the group meet?
We meet online, so you can join us from anywhere! Participants will receive an emailed link for each group session.
When does the group meet?
Our groups meet weekly. Contact us for the current group schedule.
How much does it cost?
Our groups are facilitated by speech therapists, so group leaders know how to effectively support language practice. However, because BLAST groups are considered exercise, and not therapy, the cost of our group sessions will not be paid by your insurance company. That’s why we charge the affordable rate of just $16 per session.
Why join a BLAST group?
There are other aphasia communication groups out there. Here’s what makes our’s different:
- During each group, we make time to practice all four language domains
- talking
- listening
- reading
- writing
- Participants will practice using real-life language skills that you’ll actually use outside of the group!
- We match participants with group members with similar communication skills, so group members never feel left out or left behind.
- Each group is run by an experienced speech therapist who understands aphasia and how to support language skills
